We know that CRES kids have many talents and we look forward to seeing your acts. For the special anniversary show we’ve decided to streamline the production and have 40 stellar acts in each show. To achieve that we’re encouraging our students to collaborate and come up with some creative group acts. Dazzle the audience with some great skits, dance routines, duets. If you play an instrument and your friend plays one too, why not do a song together? We are going to limit the solo acts in each show to 15 acts. That leaves 25 slots open for some dazzling routines. Dream big, show us something new!
We will be using Sign Up Genius to have you register for an audition slot. There will be 40 slots and 10 waitlist slots for the K-3rd grade show and 40 slots and 10 waitlist slots for the 4-6th grade show The link for the SUG will go live on Wednesday, January 17th. When those slots are full, we will email each act another SUG that will have the time slots for Auditions on 1/31 and 2/1. You will then select your time slot and fill out the Talent Show Registration Form. Everything will be done online this year. No paperwork!
In order to give as many kids as possible the chance to perform, we’re asking that each child be in one act only. For instance, you can’t have a solo act and then be in a group act. We will be using 6th grade students as Emcees for the shows again since they do such a fantastic job. There will be a separate audition process for that in late February.
The Committee is excited to work together again this year to showcase our talented student body. We look forward to seeing all of your amazing acts. Any questions please feel free to email us or give us a call.
