CRES Talent Show 2018
The CRES talent show is almost here. Below is the info you'll need for attending the event and the dress rehearsal schedule for participants.
DRESS REHEARSAL INFO:
Rehearsals will start at 4:45 pm on Monday, March 12 (for K-3) and 4:45 pm on Tuesday, March 13 (for 4-6).
Call times are as follows:
Group A - arrive by 4:30, rehearsal starts at 4:45-5:05
Group B - arrive by 4:50 , rehearsal starts at 5:05-5:25
Group C - arrive by 5:05, rehearsal starts at 5:25-5:45
Group D - arrive by 5:30, rehearsal starts at 5:45-6:05
Group E - arrive by 5:45, rehearsal starts at 6:05-6:25
Group F - arrive by 6:10, rehearsal starts at 6:25-6:45
When you arrive, please check in at the door with one of our parent volunteers.
Keep in mind that this schedule is only an estimation of time. We may run faster or slower depending on backstage assistance, volunteers, technical issues, etc. so we ask for your patience and understanding.
Please note that there will not be any food for sale at the dress rehearsals this year, so please plan accordingly.
SHOW NIGHT INFO:
Shows will start promptly at 6:30 pm on Thursday, March 15 (for K-3) and Friday, March 16 (for 4-6). We expect the shows each to run about 1 1/2 to 2 hours from start to finish.
Call times are as follows:
All Group A,B,C,D Acts are to arrive by 6:00 pm and check-in at the door.
All Group E,F,G Acts must arrive by 6:30 pm and check-in at the door.
We understand if you have a later act and need/prefer to arrive a bit later, but please understand that the show runs much faster than the rehearsal. If your child does not arrive in time for their act, we will continue without them and they will not be allowed back in to perform.
Please help us spread the word: the Talent Show performances are not drop-off events for students. All children MUST be accompanied by an adult who remains at Colvin Run during the entire show. To keep noise levels to a minimum, please do not allow children to go into the lobby without an adult escort.
We are trying to reduce distraction at the show so NO ENTRY into Cafeteria will be allowed while an act is on stage.
One final note - VOLUNTEERS - We are still looking for 8th graders who would like to help during rehearsals and shows with setup, curtains, props, etc. so please let us know if you have older siblings and friends who may be interested. This volunteer time counts towards community service hours and we will gladly sign paperwork for any student volunteers.
