The following vendor-led summer camps will be held at Colvin Run Elementary School this summer.  Please use the links below to register directly with the vendor.

Chess Camp
Dates: 

July 22 - 26, 2024: For students rising into grades 2-7 (Beginner to Intermediate)
July 29 - August 2, 2024: For students rising into grades 3-9 (Intermediate to Advanced)

9:00am – 3:00pm
Aftercare available until 5:00pm for an added fee

Description:  Camps focus on improving one’s chess skills through practice and lessons. The teachers place more emphasis on learning than on winning. Good sportsmanship is the key to having fun. There will be about one teacher per ten students. For more information contact the U.S. Chess Center at 202-857-4922 or admin@chessctr.org. Space is limited to the first 32 students to register.

Sticky Fingers Cooking

Our camps include deliciously awesome recipes, all ingredients and equipment, fun activities,
and engaging hands-on experience with our chef instructors! Campers receive a recipe
collection so they can recreate all our recipes at home!

Week 1 (9AM-12PM) Kids Cooking Showdown - 6/24, 25, 26, 27, 28
Week 2 (9AM-12PM) Basic Training Baking Boot Camp - 7/1, 2, 3, 5 (No class on 7/4)
Week 3 (9AM-12PM) Global Taste Buds - 7/8, 9, 10, 11, 12
Week 4 (9AM-12PM) S.T.E.A.M Cooking - 7/15, 16, 17, 18, 19

Pricing: $325 per camper per week (except for week 2: $260)
